Pinterest 

  • More than 250 million people use Pinterest each month.
  • The main use for Pinterest is for inspiration, be that for a hobby or professionally. 
  • 1.5 million businesses now use the visual marketing channel to promote their products and services with Pins.
  • Similarly to Instagram, Pinterest is a very visual platform and the types of posts that you find mainly consist of images and infographics.
  • When you click on a pin, users can be directly sent to a website, These posts can be easily linked back to your website and are a great way to drive new traffic. 

TikTok

  • As a relatively new platform that is quickly gaining popularity, TikTok is a social media platform solely for creating short videos from 3 to 60 second long. 
  • It has a younger audience and would be best used for building brand awareness through eye-catching and effective short videos. 

Deciding what to post

When it comes to posting, it is important that your posts reflect your business. What kind of ‘personality’ do you want to portray? The style and tone of the posts should match up to your professional persona!

  • Addressing complaints and criticisms
  • Commenting on posts 
  • Showing appreciation to customers 
  • Starting or participating in conversations
